About The Therapist Brief
The Therapist Brief was developed in early 2026 to help busy clinicians continue to learn and grow. Our brief format allows you still see the latest research in the field, while not taking up too much of your day. Also, we will always point you to the full research at the end of each brief.
What arrives
One peer-reviewed study per brief, written up in four parts: the key finding with its effect size, why it matters in practice, the limitations the abstract leaves out, and the full APA citation with a DOI link to the source paper.
How a brief is made
Briefs are produced with the assistance of AI from the full text of a published paper. Effect sizes, sample sizes and confidence intervals are taken from the source rather than generated. AI can make mistakes, so every brief carries its citation and DOI — check the paper before acting on anything that matters clinically.
Who it is for
Licensed, pre-licensed and supervised mental health professionals. Nothing here is clinical, diagnostic or supervisory advice, and reading it creates no clinician–patient relationship.
